THE BUSINESS OF A BED BUG-SAFE STAY
See what Valpas could add to your website revenue.
Two simple inputs. Real hotel results behind the estimate.
Estimated additional direct revenue per year
From €50,000 in website revenue per month
Based on GUESTapart’s measured conversion lift, rounded down.
A planning estimate at the same traffic and booking value. Actual results will vary.
The bed bug-safe attribute for hotels
Let’s talkRevenue estimate only. Operational savings and price premiums are not included.
Include setup and subscription if evaluating the first year.
Enter a cost of 0 or more.
The share of added direct revenue that becomes new hotel contribution. Allow for guest costs and bookings shifted from other channels.
Enter a percentage between 0 and 100.
Assumes 12 months at the projected performance. Your contribution estimate determines how much is incremental to the hotel.
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RETURN
Alongside more direct revenue, bed bug safety helps you avoid the costs of bed bugs.
These savings sit alongside the revenue upside and are not included in the calculator’s figures.
THE EVIDENCE BEHIND THE ESTIMATE
Guests shown the Valpas certification booked direct more often in both hotel tests.

Read the hotel storyAdditional monthly direct revenue = monthly website booking revenue × the selected conversion lift.
Annual revenue = monthly revenue × 12. Annual inputs are divided by 12 first. International profile multiplies the benchmark by 1.3; Cautious multiplies the selected lift by 0.5. Both toggles may be used together.
ROI = (additional annual revenue × incremental contribution % − Valpas cost) ÷ Valpas cost.
International profile is an optional planning assumption for hotels with at least 50% international arrivals. Its 30% adjustment increases the conversion lift, not the conversion rate by 30 percentage points. This adjustment has not been measured in the supplied hotel tests.
Comparable website traffic, average booking value and available capacity. Use a full-year monthly average to allow for seasonality, and the same tax basis for revenue and costs.
These are results from two individual hotel tests, not a guaranteed outcome or a statistical estimate for each star category. Direct bookings may include shifts from other channels, so direct-channel growth is not automatically hotel-wide revenue growth.

Conversion = bookings ÷ visitors. Relative lift = (test conversion ÷ control conversion) − 1. Calculations use the underlying counts, not the rounded rates shown above. Benchmark rates are rounded down to one decimal percentage point for this calculator.
Selecting a currency changes the unit only; no exchange rate conversion is applied. No figures are sent to Valpas until you choose to share them separately.
